Confidentiality of personal data

In accordance with the European Union's new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), b-Sharpe is responsible for the way your personal data is collected, used and protected.

Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website by sending us a few pieces of personal information as requested in the form. To ensure that the request has come from the correct person, we will send you a confirmation email (double opt-in). The information is recorded only after validation of this confirmation message.

b-Sharpe will then store this information, via its email distribution service, in addition to the IP address, date and time of registration. The information collected will only be used to send out newsletters. Our newsletters contain tracking codes which allow us to compile statistics: specifically email open rates and click rates.
Depending on information needs, we may transmit newsletters on the basis of geographical distribution, which is deduced from the IP address.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link on any newsletter or by directly requesting to do so here.

Registering for b-Sharpe services

By registering as a customer for b-Sharpe services, you are transmitting personal data which is necessary for providing login information and for legal reasons, in accordance with the anti-money laundering law. Time stamp information such as the registration date is also stored. This information is stored on our servers in Switzerland.

Clients who have registered with b-sharpe but who have not completed their registration will receive follow-up emails from us. These emails are automatically sent based on time stamp information and login status.
This reminder is sent via our email distribution service to whom we transmit certain data.

Cookies

Cookies are files stored on visitors' devices which allow us to understand how visitors use our site. Most of the cookies we use (session cookies) are deleted at the end of the session. Other cookies remain on visitors' devices and are used to facilitate the next visit to our site. Finally, some of our cookies are used to see if visitors are coming from a partner site. You can disable the use of cookies in your browser settings options.

Google Analytics

Our sites use Google Analytics. This service uses cookies to analyse how visitors use a site. Google Analytics data is transmitted to the United States by Google, is compiled and then returned for analysis. The IP address transmitted to Google is not visible and is not combined with other data, so it's not possible to link a specific user to this data.

Your rights

When we are required by law to retain our customers' information, we store it for the legally required period of time, which depends on the type of information. This data will then be deleted if it exceeds the legal period of retention.

For other data, you have the right:

  • to ask us for the data we retain about you
  • to modify the data if necessary
  • to delete the data

If you believe that b-sharpe is in breach of the Data Protection Act, you can file a complaint with the competent authority in your country.

For any questions regarding the protection of personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer, David Talerman, or write to him at b-sharpe SA, 15 Passage Jean Malbuisson, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland.
